Detroit (H) 2 Cleveland 0 Bill Hart Detroit starter Joe Yeager (3-0) limited Cleveland to five hits and got the shutout victory. Bill Hart (2-1) only allowed eight hits to the Tigers, but Detroit scored twice in the bottom of the third and Yeager did the rest. The Tigers had six stolen bases on the day, but couldn't convert most of their opportunities.
